work-life balance

I'm listening to a talk about work-life balance aimed for women engineers here in GG.

I think this talk might shine some light. I think i'm struggling a bit. But different people have different definition and level of happiness.

I'm probably 50-25-25 type of person. work-relationship(friends,parents....)-myself.

I would like to make it 40-30-30. but it's hard to say, 30 for myself could mean 20 for self development which could mean work...

They gave away mug (normal things to give away) and lipgloss. I wanna see what the lipgloss look like, too bad i'm in NYC, not Mountain View now. lipgloss? What a company!

At the airport, working now..
Fortunately, my flight get delayed..have a couple of mins to propagate problem.
I thot we already fixed the problem at 6pm today..but it's not..why we need to have a problem at the day before Thanksgiving..

been there, done that....

I just came back from Kauai, Hawaii.

Surprisingly, I'm not impressed with this scenic island. May be my expectation was too high.

I have seen nicer beaches. I have been to more luxury hotels than the Grand Hyatt hotel. I have seen more beautiful fish, nicer corals, nicer cliff, more elegant water fall, more memorable sunrise. I have ridden more adventurous speed boat. I have seen more specular shows... so on and so forth... I think it's probably bad, that i'm not easily get excited anymore.

However, at the end, I'm so glad that I enjoy sitting on the beach, reading one nice book, listening to the wave hit the beach. I also enjoy swiming in the pool and play water slide.. simply the best....

As I have been to many places, have done many things, simple nice things are what I enjoy now.. (hmm..I'm talking like an old girl :P)

Final note.. No other places are as beautiful as home..Beaches in Thailand are the best!!! trust me..

San Francisco to Triburon bike route...

16 miles of biking, start from Ghirardelli square, across golden gate bridge, head to Sausalito, then end at Triburon. I can't believe I could finish this route in 3 hrs.
Too bad, I didn't get a chance to enjoy the view that much, I was in a hurry to catch the ferry back to SF bay at 4:10.
